Rand Thompson, B. Sc., B. Arch., MAIBC, MRAIC, MAAA, NSAA, ASSOC. AIA
CTA & BCT - PRINCIPAL - 37 Years Experience

Rand was with Arthur Erickson Architects (1980-81), Aitken Bozyk Architects (1976-79), Bain Burroughs Hanson Raimet Architects (1973-75), and Wilding and Jones Architects (1967-68). In 1981 Rand became a founding partner of Chernoff Thompson Architects.

Russell Chernoff, B. Sc., B. Arch., MAIBC, MRAIC, AAA, NSAA, AIA
Registered in California, Registered in Washington, Registered in Georgia
CTA & BCT - PRINCIPAL - 36 Years Experience

Russ was with The Hulbert Group Architects (1977-81), Bruno Freschi Architects (1975-76), and Arthur Erickson Architects (1973-74). In 1981 he was a founding partner of Chernoff Thompson Architects.

Naomi Gross, B.E.S., M. Arch., MAIBC, AAA, NSAA, MRAIC,
LEED A.P.
CTA - PRINCIPAL - 17 years experience

Naomi was with Scott Morris Architects (1992-96), Barcelona Government Architectural Department (1992), and Lambur Scott Architects (1987-91). Naomi joined Chernoff Thompson Architects in 1996 and became an Associate in 1999.

Tony Yip, B.A.A.S., Dip. Arch, MAIBC, AAA, CP, LEED A.P.
CTA - PRINCIPAL - 17 years experience

Tony graduated from Architecture programs at both Canterbury School of Architecture in the UK, and the University of Hong Kong. Before joining CTA in 2002, he acquired architectural experience at several firms, including Lubor Trubka (1999-2002) and Bing Thom (1997-99).

Dave Bryan, RIBC, MAIBC, MRAIC
BCT - PARTNER - 42 years experience

Dave was a partner in Greenwell & Bryan Architects (1973-98). Previously he was with Des Parker (1972-72), the BC Ministry of Transportation (1970-71), Calquhoun & Miller in London, England (1965-70), and Bossevain & Osmond in Epsom, Surrey (1963-65). He is a graduate of the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff, Wales. In 1998 he was a founding partner of Bryan Chernoff Thompson Architects.

Darrel Jensen, B. Arch, M.A.I.B.C.
JCT - PRINCIPAL - 34 years experience

Darrel has worked in the architecture community for 34 years and has been principle of his own firm for twenty seven years. Darrel brings strong background experience in community projects, health, and planning. In his work on numerous community based facilities, Darrel has successfully coordinated large teams of consultants through the planning, design, and construction phases of the project. His experience working with many Island communities and non-profit organizations will be a major asset in delivering a practical master plan. As an architect who has practiced on Vancouver Island for three decades Darrel is intimately familiar with the construction industry which will be very important in the discussion about development options.

Don Brown, B. Arch., M.A.I.B.C.
JCT - PRINCIPAL - 33 years experience

Don has worked in the architecture community for 33 years. Prior to emigrating in 1982 and joining Darrel Jensen Architect Don gained valuable experience in historic restoration and contract management. For the last 25 years Don has successfully completed many institutional, health related and multi-use buildings in BC. A principal of Jensen Group Architects since 1997 and Jensen Chernoff Thompson in 2006. Don has excellent design team leadership and communications skills and particular experience in the successful planning and design of indoor and outdoor spaces with special emphasis on minimizing life cycle costs and the use of sustainable materials and systems.


VANCOUVER OFFICE - ASSOCIATES

Sharon Lui, B.A., B. Arch.
CTA - ASSOCIATE - 10 years experience

Following her graduation from UBC, Sharon gained professional experience with architectural firms in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2001, she returned to Vancouver and joined Chernoff Thompson Architects.

Leo Morales, B. Sc. Arch., AT-AIBC
CTA - TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE - 19 years experience

Leo is an Architectural Technologist who received his Architectural Degree in the Philippines prior to coming to Canada in 1991. After working for a number of architectural firms, Leo joined Chernoff Thompson Architects in 1997.

Glenn Peters, B.E.S., M. Arch.
CTA - ASSOCIATE - 21 years experience

Glenn Peters has 21 years of experience completing health-care and institutional projects across the Province. He was an important member of Bernard Perreten Architecture Inc. for 19 years, first serving as an Associate and, since 1998, as a Partner prior to that firm merging into Chernoff Thompson Architects in January 2009. Glenn has worked with numerous municipal and regional governments, and has established long-term, repeat clientele due to the many successfully completed projects.
