The re-development of this area of Salt Spring Island was essential to the vitality of economic life in Ganges. Our approach involved integrating the various styles and uses
into a coherent architectural statement. Among the many challenges presented by a re-development of this scale were zoning and tidal water table structural issues. The result of this project
is a successful commercial area which includes a new Thrifty's Food Store, a new Island Savings Credit Union building, and the award winning renovation of the existing Harbour Building. (JGA)
