The New Mount St. Mary is the next step in modern health care design. Great care has been taken in designing the facility to reflect a "home-like" environment for its residents. A key component in
achieving this is the design of the care units or "houses", which offer walking paths, garden spaces, living rooms, and an overall residential atmosphere. Sited on the former location of the historic
Farirfield Heath Centre, this 5 storey, 200 bed facility is a much needed and welcome addition to the community. (JGA)

allowed for construction work to be phased, maintaining 24 hour operation of the facility. Furthermore, many contemporary equipment and procedural improvements were incorporated into the design
development stage, culmanating in a successful design which was completed on time and on budget. (JGA)

largest extended care hospital societies in Victoria. The Institutional feel of "Hospital" has been discarded in favour of a "House" model which reinforces the resident's sense
